We are the 1 percent

(5.11.2010 - smz)  The "Occupy"-Movement provides excellent opportunities for action-oriented intelligent communications. Here are 10 ideas what bankers, CEOs and rich people can do. We should keep in mind that this is an important moment in history.

.) Open your doors and invite protesters into your building. Provide food and dialogues. Show them around, most have never seen a trading room or a board room.

.) Visit protesters and ask questions. Be open for surprise. Maybe you like them - maybe not. Spend some time.

.) Sponsor fund-raising events for discussions about the future of the financial system, especially when they are organized by non-profit, critical institutions or groups.

.) Accept invitations to speak at public events, especially when these are organized by alternative, critical groups. Be well prepared! If you get hit, do it again until you have understood how to express yourself personally.

.)  Organize a discussion in your neighborhood pub. People talk about you anyway. It's much better to meet them in a local, familiar environment. You can get drunk together and have fun.

.) Use Youtube to express your opinion. Publish the link to attract viewers, comments and feedback.

.) Organize talks about the future of retail banking and invite "the enemy". You could even organize brainstorming sessions with protesters to find out about their needs and wants. Banking will change, better you are part of the change than the victim.

.) Donate parts of your bonus to welfare institutions. Spend some time there, it's equally valuable.

.) In general: listen and spend time at the "Occupy"-movement. You can change people's minds.

.) If you hide, you will provoke anger, violence and simplemindedness.
